Our Little Slice of Britain

Chris and I are adjusting to our new home in the UK, and we wanted to share some snapshots of our flat.
This type of flat is officially called a 'maisonette' -- fancy shmancy, eh?  A large house is divided in half both vertically and horizontally, which makes four flats out of one property.  Our place is furnished (bed, couches, etc.) which makes it much easier to settle-in quickly.
One of those couches in the first picture is a double sofa bed, so we're ready to take visitors!

I plan to share in a later post some of the many funny quirks about our little British maisonette.  :-)

Since we have one of the two ground-floor flats, we have a back garden.  And we cannot wait to enjoy our own outdoor space!
There's already a char-coal grill along with table and chairs.  Now, all we need is a sunny day!  But we'll probably need to do an anti-rain dance for that to happen... haha!  A south-facing garden means a tomato or pepper plant can be in the works, too -- nothing much, though, we want to keep everything really low maintenance so we have time to explore our new city, LONDON!!
